Our mission is simple:

Each rug in our collection is 100% handmade in Morocco, crafted using traditional weaving techniques that have been passed down for generations within Berber communities.

Our Story
My name is Abdelilah Benhadda, founder of Bohemia Marrakech.
My journey began in 2012, when I opened a small bazaar in Marrakech dedicated to Moroccan rugs. During this time, I developed a deep appreciation for the artistry, symbolism, and heritage woven into every rug.
Working closely with artisans in the Atlas Mountains allowed me to understand the incredible skill and dedication behind each piece.
In 2018, I created Bohemia Marrakech with a clear vision:
to share the beauty of authentic Moroccan rugs with the world while supporting the talented artisans who create them.
Today, our rugs have reached homes across the globe, with over 100,000 rugs sold worldwide.
Supporting Moroccan Artisans
At the heart of Bohemia Marrakech are the artisans who bring these rugs to life.
We proudly collaborate with five weaving cooperatives across Morocco, involving more than 300 talented Berber women artisans.
These women handcraft every rug using traditional methods passed down through generations.
By working directly with these cooperatives, we help support sustainable income, empower women, and contribute to improving the lives of their families and communities.
Part of our mission is also to give back, and we actively support several artisan cooperatives in Morocco through donations and ongoing collaboration.

Our rugs are sourced from the villages of the Atlas Mountains, where weaving has been part of everyday life for centuries.
Using natural wool and traditional knotting techniques, artisans create rugs that combine durability, comfort, and artistic expression.

Born in 1988, Abdelilah began his journey with Moroccan rugs in 2012 when he opened a bazaar in Marrakech. In 2018, he founded Bohemia Marrakech to share authentic handmade Moroccan rugs with the world.
